
Known for their acoustic style, high energy music, The Promised is as a roots/country band with a little rockabilly flavour.
After their very first performance, they were accepted into the 2019 Breakthrough Country music project Top 12 and after two rounds of tough competition they were named 1st Place Grand Prize winners.
Working with MyTone Records, they released their first single/music video in July of 2019. Both their first and second releases (“We Could Be in Love” & “Don’t Take Me Down) were licensed to the American TV show Virgin River’s 2nd season, and they were filmed performing both songs on the show.
Their debut album "Phoenix" was released in 2020 and currently has reached over 1,000,000 streams on Spotify alone.
In their inaugural year, The Promised played on the Sunfest mainstage as an acoustic trio, just prior to headliner Jason Aldean as well as were nominated for 3 BCCMA Awards (Roots/Traditional, Ray McAuley Horizon Award, and Video of the Year)
2021 brought the return of Live Music, and The Promised opened for artists such as Orville Peck, Randy Bauchman, and Jade Eagleson, at festivals across BC and Alberta.
Their song "Lose It All" was choosen by CTV to be licensed to their new show "Sullivan's Crossing", and they rewrote/recorded the lyrics of this song exclusively for the show.
